Demolition And Preparation

Every remodeling starts from complete demolition.

That is one of the most important steps in construction. Very often, demolition is done improperly and results in more work and more headaches. That's where we come in. We understand all responsibility of the first stage in remodeling and offer a professional demolition service which includes covering and protecting your goods from dust, mess, placing all trash in our dump which would be placed outside of your building. We have many sizes of dumpsters, from a small one for one bathroom trash to big ones which could stay the whole duration of your construction.

When the demolition is done, we prepare the area for the tile installation. We called it the preparation stage. We do that by creating a strong, flat surface for laying the tile or natural stone. Please keep in mind, some tile installations require making the base waterproof, so water doesn't leak through, such as a shower floor. There are numerous options to do this:

  1. The first way is with a shower pen liner, the most common and fastest way to do shower waterproofing.
  2. The second is with a hot mop with bitum, which is the most effective and long lasting option.

Preparation is sometimes the longer and pricier part of our services, so talk to our specialists about your preparation needs today to find optimal solution for your project. Contact us here.

Ceramic tile Installation

Ceramic and porcelain tile installation.

Ceramic and porcelain tiles are always easier to work with compared to natural stone. In general, tiles don't require concrete base. Preparing floors or walls for ceramic or porcelain tiles, we usually use hardibacker or wanderboard. Be aware that size of the tiles might affect project cost. Smaller tiles such as 4x4, 4x6, 6x8 always take a longer time install. When buying ceramic or porcelain tiles for your project, always think about finishing corners. Usually, these types of tiles have a bournoses made with same material and color which is sold separately by the line foot. Always get 10-15% extra tile and bournoses.

Mosaic and glass tile installation.

The most important thing for these kinds of tiles is the perfectly leveled and even base, preferably concrete or cement board. Mosaic or glass tiles are generally used for decoration or on surfaces that need repeat base level. Putting liners in between ceramic tiles is a great example of these tiles being used for decoration. Consider shower floors as an example of something that need to repeat base level, which needs to be leveled by the drain, or even on rounded corners such as pools.

If mosaic tiles are involved in any project, the whole project needs more attention, experience, and professional knowledge from the installer. Our company has over 10 years of experience working with mosaic and glass tiles.

Natural Stone Installation

Natural stone fabrication and installation.

What is natural stone? Imagine a peace of giant rock which formed millions, even billions of years ago. This rock has been in water, snow, in lava, and everything in between, proving itself to be super durable. We cut this into a 12x12 shape and install it in your bathroom floors and walls. Natural stone has a natural pattern and color. Each type of stone depends on a formation process and time frame has its own unique pattern, color, quality and texture. Marble, granite, travertine, onix etc. are commonly used natural stones in construction today. The strongest, most affordable and easiest to maintain is granite. That is what is used on countertops, places with lots of movement, fireplaces etc.

Marble and travertine are used more gently and with care on the walls in bathroom floors, backsplashes in the kitchens etc. In comparison with ceramic tiles, natural stone doesn't have ready made bournoses. Bournoses made by hand of installer. As you can understand the process of fabrication of natural stone takes time and experience of knowledge and patience.
